“I waited patiently
for the Lord; And He inclined to me, and heard my cry” (Psalm 40:1)
Never before in my life I had felt so much pain in my body.
It was a Saturday night, and the Youth Fest in San Antonio was concluding with
Tamales and basketball –donde hay Latinos
hay tamales. With a full stomach and the energy of the world I took that
shot to the basket, and seconds later I was dragging my self on the floor,
breathing heavenly, and sweating due to the pain. The verdict? A sprained
ankle. I felt the fire on my foot, but it wasn’t the fire Pr. Gabriel Perea was
preaching from the pulpit. Rather, a pure, burning, painful fire.
You know you have some awesome, caring fellow pastors when
they approach you and say, “Your thing is The Gospel, my friend. Not
basketball. You need to stick to Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. And maybe, just
maybe, Daniel and Revelation.” (abusadol).
Me: “How do I make it better?”
Him: “Uh. Get your self a wife.”
I felt the love.
For the next couple of days, and almost regretting going to a street doctor (sobadero, no curandero), the pain remained. So I made a couple of good friends: Josefino & Josefina:

They picked me up when I was down. |
At any rate, the point of my story is that I experienced a
miracle. Someone prayed for me and God answered that someone’s prayer on the
spot. No, it wasn’t the ordained pastors, nor Alejandro Bullón, nor José Rojas,
nor Mark Finley, but an eight-year-old angel. Her name is Alex.
With my two best friends (Josephino & Josephina) and a
very bruised and swollen ankle, I made an effort to go to church and lead a
Bible study. At the end of the night I asked Alex to pray for full healing.
“Lord, please help Sergio’s foot heal soon. And Help him survive. Amen.” –Short, sweet, honest, with the heart, and to the point.

What happened? Well, Psalm 40:1 answers it: The Lord inclined His ear to Alex
and He heard her cry. Now I am able to understand in a better way Matthew 18:3,
“Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will
never enter the kingdom of heaven.”
Get involved in children’s ministry. Mentor | Minister | Pray with a child. And you too will witness miracles.
Blessings!
